Information and Public Relations Unit (PRESS)

The Information and Public Relations Unit is one of the statutory Units in, every Ministry Department and Agency (MDA). It has the statutory duty to:

1. Effectively Publicise the activities, Policies, and programmes of Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs;
2. Plan and execute Public Relations Programmes aimed at improving the image of FMSDIGA;
3. Maintain liaison and healthy relationship with the media;
4. Monitor the print, electronic and online media report on FMSDIGA on daily basis;
5. Ensure prompt response to adverse media report that requires response;
6. Effectively engage with various parastatals of FMSDIGA;
7. Encouraging and moving the Ministry and Nigeria into 21^st Century information delivery;
8. Designs and promote special campaign to publicise the Ministry; and
9. Strategic Communication of Government policies and

programmes.
