History of FMSDIGA
The Ministry was re-established in 2019 by virtue of the power of Section 5 (1) (a) of the 1999 Constitution which vested power on the Pre.sident of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to create. Prior to the creation of the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs by the then President Muhammadu Buhari on September 11, 2019, the activities of this Ministry were domiciled in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) as Special Duties Office.
On 21st August, 2019, the Federal Ministry of Special Duties was re-established. The Ministry has three Agencies/Parastatals which it supervises. They are:
i. National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC);
ii. National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF); and
iii. Nigerian National Merit Award (NNMA

Develop and Implement Policies, Programmes and Projects towards improvement of Inter- Governmental relations at the state and Local Government Levels.
