Human Resources Management

Generally, the Department is responsible for the following:

  1. Co-ordination of the activities of all the Departments in the Ministry in terms of Personnel matters such as Appointment Promotion and Discipline, Staff changes, Pension matters, Posting and Redeployment;
  2. Responsible for training programs and Staff Welfare matters; e.g. Rewards and Recognition;
  3. Handling of all Security matters of the Ministry;
  4. Responsible for designing and implementation of Personnel matters;
  5. Provision of Secretariat service for Senior and Junior Staff Committee;
  6. Handling of transportation matters;
  7. Ensuring effective implementation of IPPIS Service-Wide for all new entrants into the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter- Governmental Affairs;
  8. Industrial relations and Union matters;
  9. NYSC/IT matters;
  10. Office maintenance, Plants and Equipment’s;
  11. Protocol.;
  12. Manpower Budget;
  13. Registry – Open & Secretary Registry;
  14. Nominal Roll;
  15. ID Card;
  16. Sports Matters;
  17. Store;
  18. Liaison with OHCSF, FCSC on Appointment, Promotion and Discipline (APD) matters as well as Staff Welfare and Training (SWT) matters
  19. Coordination of Performance Management System (PMS);
  20. Coordination of Service – Wide-road map e.g. FCSSIP – Federal Civil Service Strategic Implementation Plan (Smart –P, Lead – P, etc.).
